Perhaps you noticed (or not) my extended absence. I had to take some time to withdraw; to rediscover my inner self. With so many worldly distractions, it is quite easy to lose. As is often the case, this was precipitated by loss, which in turn, caused me to re-examine the whole. No, there was no earth-shattering, catastrophic event, but a personal loss that affected me profoundly nonetheless. An unexpected departure of something special left me fractured, leading me to the realization that a carefully crafted facade was indeed showing signs of wear. The surprising and most fortunate consequence was a journey I can only liken to an "eat, pray, love" experience. (I'm only guessing since I did not see the movie, nor have I read the book.) I am better now and hope you will welcome me back into the fold. Let's rediscover the beauty of our surroundings together.
Welcome back Ursula! Glad you are posting again. Everyone has their moments in time when they need to step back and reflect in order to put one's best foot forward. Hope things are better for you now. Your blog has always been a little deeper and more thought filled than others, I have always appreciated that.
